CoastalGuard ® 100 Industrial Coolant and Heat Transfer Fluid
Product Information
CoastalGuard® 100 is a premium engine coolant used throughout the oil and gas industry. It is an inhibitedethylene glycol used as a heavy-duty industrial coolant and heat transfer fluid. The inhibitor system is designedto protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other natural metals commonly found inindustrial cooling and heating systems. CoastalGuard® 100 is commonly used in an aqueous dilution from 20 to 50% by volume. These levels providereeze protection between 16°F and -34°F, respectively.CoastalGuard® 100 has the unique ability to have the inhibitors replenished. They may be monitored andreplaced if necessary without replacing the fluid itself through the addition of CoastalGuard SupplementalCoolant Additives.
Typical Physical Properties
|
CoastalGuard® 100 is designed to be used in a dilutedform, typically 50% water. De-ionized water isrecommended to minimize unacceptable hardnessminerals. CoastalGuard® 100 inhibitor concentrates aredesigned to be mixed with diluted CoastalGuard coolantsto obtain optimum corrosion and freeze protection. Coastal Chemical provides technical support forCoastalGuard® 100 via coolant sampling and laboratorytesting. Results are reviewed and recommendations aremade to ensure proper coolant quality. CoastalGuard® 100 also satisfies the specifications asrequired by ASTM D 6210 and meets the coolantrequirements for Waukesha, Caterpillar, Superior, andother engine manufacturers. |
