CoastalGuard® 767 Cooling System Inhibitor
Product InformationCoastalGuard® 767 is a formulated supplemental coolant additive inhibitor concentrate designed to improve wet sleeve liner protection in ethylene glycol and propylene glycol based antifreeze/coolants. This product will help prevent corrosion to the wet liner and adjacent block area where mechanical vibration exists. Inaddition, the corrosion inhibitor package in the CoastalGuard® 767 will provide an effective barrier against metal corrosion.Typical Physical Properties
ApplicationCoastalGuard® 767 should be added to either ethylene glycol or propylene glycol based coolants at a rate ofup to 3% by volume, (3 gallons per 100 gallons). The amount necessary will vary with specific condition encountered. Routine monitoring of coolant condition will provide application guidelines to ensure optimumlevels. The product blends readily with field strength coolants with minimum agitation. In systems operating with CoastalGuard or CoastalGuard coolants, reinhibiting the active system should bebased on recommendations following a proper coolant fluid analysis. In systems with wet liners, inhibitor levels can deplete rapidly. Typically, 1% to 2.5% of system volume of CoastalGuard® 767 is added a routine interval. Follow-up laboratory coolant analysis should be performed to verify inhibitor levels and/or recommend theaddition of another inhibitor. Handling PrecautionsCoastalGuard® 767 is an industrial chemical and should be handled as such. Users should thoroughly review the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for this product prior to use. |
