Fluid Guard EG50 & EG 100
Product Information FluidGuard EG 100 is an inhibited ethylene glycol as an industrial coolant and heat transfer fluid. FluidGuard EG 50 is an pre-blended 50% solution in de-ionized water. The inhibitor system is designed to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other natural metals commonly found in industrial cooling and heating systems. Use of FluidGuard EG provides for long fluid life, corrosion protection, and leak protection in piping, pumps, valves, fittings, and heating or cooling equipment. Coastal Chemical Co., LLC provides users of our FluidGuard products with complete analytical analyses and technical recommendations on fluid quality and applications. FluidGuard EG is commonly used in an aqueous dilution from 20 to 60% by volume. These levels provide freeze protection between -9°C and -46°C(15°F and -50°F), respectively. FluidGuard applications include heating and cooling systems, line heaters, chllers, refrigeration systems, snow melting systems and HVAC systems. FluidGuard EG is not suitable for use where contact with food or potable water is possible. These systems require FluidGuard PG USP grade products. Typical Physical Properties
Safety & Handling Precautions FluidGuard EG 50 and EG 100 are industrial chemicals and should be handleed as such. Users should thoroughly review the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for their products prior to use. Physical Properties FluidGuard EG properties versus concentration with water are illustrated below. Other physical property data is available from brochure, FluidGuard EG physical Properties.
